Last updated 30 September 2026. In plain English: what we keep, why, and for how long.

Short version: to connect you to a server we need your Xbox gamertag and account ID, and we keep a record of which servers you join through us so we can run the bots, keep friend spaces free and see how the service is used. We don't ask for your name, email or password, we don't use advertising trackers, and we never sell data.

1. Who we are

BedrockGo (“we”, “us”) helps Minecraft Bedrock Edition players reach multiplayer servers: you add one of our Xbox bot accounts as a friend, join it, and we transfer you to our hub and then to the server you choose. We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact: [email protected].

2. What we collect and why

InformationWhy we need it
Xbox account ID (XUID) and gamertagXbox tells us who you are when you join a bot. We use it to check your connection is genuine, to transfer you, and to keep your saved servers.
Friendship with our bots (who is friends with which bot, and when you were added)To accept your friend request, send you a game invite, and remove friends who haven't played through a bot for 15 days so the space can go to someone new.
Connection records: when you joined a bot or the hub, which server you chose (name, address, port) and whether it was a featured serverTo run and troubleshoot the service, count usage, and report to advertisers. Advertisers only ever see totals, never who you are.
Technical details of a join: your Minecraft version and how long each step of connecting tookTo keep the service working when Minecraft updates and to find slow or failing connections.
Your saved server list in the hub (the names, addresses and ports you add)So your servers are there next time you visit the hub.
Game server logs: the hub's server logs record gamertags, the servers you transfer to, and your IP addressSecurity, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

When you sign in to Minecraft, Microsoft sends us a signed token proving who you are. We check it and discard it; we never see or store your Microsoft password.

3. Our legal basis

We process this information because it is necessary to provide the service you ask for when you add and join a bot, and for our legitimate interests in running it securely, keeping it available and funding it through featured server placements. For advertisers, we process their contact and billing details to perform our agreement with them.

4. How long we keep it

  • Connection records: kept for up to 24 months, after which we remove your account ID and gamertag and keep only anonymous totals.
  • Friendship data: kept while you are friends with a bot, and removed when the friendship ends. Inactivity records are deleted 90 days after you last played through a bot.
  • Saved server list: kept until you remove the servers in the hub or ask us to delete it.
  • Game server logs: deleted automatically after 30 days.

When you ask us to delete your data, we erase your connection records, friendship and inactivity records, and your saved server list. Log entries about you are then gone once the 30-day period ends.

5. Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We share only what's needed to run the service:

  • Microsoft / Xbox Live, which carries friend requests, invites and connections. Your use of Xbox is covered by Microsoft's own privacy statement.
  • Our hosting provider (a data centre in the EU), which stores our servers and their data.
  • Cloudflare, which delivers this website and protects it from attacks, and so processes visitors' IP addresses.
  • The server you choose receives your connection when we transfer you, as with any Minecraft server.

Advertisers receive totals only (impressions, viewers, clicks), never gamertags or account IDs. Our public Discord status post shows our bots' names and numbers, not players.

6. This website

The website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Like any website, our servers and Cloudflare process your IP address to deliver pages and block attacks. (The only cookie we set is a sign-in cookie on our own admin pages, used by the people who run BedrockGo.)

7. Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] from any address and include your gamertag. We may ask you to prove the account is yours, for example by sending a message from it to one of our bots, and we'll reply within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). If you'd rather simply stop, remove the bot from your Xbox friends; we remove our records of that friendship when it ends.

8. Children

Many Minecraft players are young. We collect only the gamertag and account information Xbox gives us, never real names or contact details, and Xbox's own parental controls apply to adding friends and joining games. A parent or guardian can ask us to delete a child's data at [email protected].

9. International transfers

Our servers are in the EU. Microsoft and Cloudflare may process data in other countries under their own safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

10. Changes

If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and its date. For significant changes we'll also note it in our Discord status channel.
